Often touted as "the"first state-chartered university in America," the University of Georgia in Athens is the state's oldest, most comprehensive and most diversified institution of higher education.
While UGA is a state-charted institution, it supports the majority of the $1 billion annual operating budget through tuition, intellectual capital, grants and, most significantly, its endowment—the University of Georgia Foundation. The foundation needed a way to reach its 270,000 alumni with information that would appeal specifically to them, based on age and interests, and guide them down a path toward giving.
An integrated marketing communication strategy that embraced new technology outlets and the latest in contact management methods was needed, as was an expert provider who could help bring that about. The Stelter Company fit the bill.
